Privacy Policy for SUic Player
Effective Date: Oct 30, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how Md. Mehedi Hasan Rabbani (under the developer brand "Soiad Mahedi"), the developer of SUic Player ("we," "us," or "our"), handles your information when you use our mobile application ("App" or "Service").
Your privacy is important to us. SUic Player is designed to be a local media player, and we are committed to not collecting or sharing your personal media files.
1. Information We Access (But Do Not Collect)
The core function of SUic Player is to play your local media files. To do this, the App requires your permission to access your device's storage.
Local Media Files (Video, Audio, Subtitles): The App needs the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (All Files Access) permission to find, display, manage (rename, delete), and play your media files. Your personal media files are processed locally on your device and are never collected, uploaded, or shared with us or any third party.
Network Stream URLs: If you use the "Stream" feature, the App uses the URL you provide to connect to and play the stream. If you use the "Save in List Record" feature, these URLs are saved locally on your device for your convenience. This data is not transmitted to us.
2. Information We Collect Automatically
To maintain and improve the App, we use third-party services that may collect information.
- Analytics & Crash Reporting (Firebase): We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how users interact with our App and to identify and fix crashes. This service may collect anonymous data such as:
- Device type and operating system
- App version
- General usage patterns (e.g., which features are used)
- Crash logs and diagnostic information
This data is aggregated and anonymous and is used only to improve the stability and performance of the App.
- Advertising (Google AdMob): SUic Player is supported by ads, which are provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. This may include:
- Device's Advertising ID (AD_ID)
- IP address
- Device information (e.g., model, OS)
- General location information
For more information on how Google handles your data, please review Google's Privacy & Terms.
- Remote Configuration (Firebase Realtime Database): We use Firebase Realtime Database to remotely check for app updates and to enable or disable certain app features. This service does not collect personal information from your device; it only fetches configuration settings.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services
- Google AdMob
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics
We recommend you read their privacy policies to understand how they collect and use your data:

4. Permissions Explained

INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To play network streams (DASH, HLS, etc.), fetch advertisements, and check for app updates.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK: To show media playback controls in the notification bar and allow audio to play in the background.

5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information that is collected by our third-party services. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
